About Us/Me

We are excited to start our journey toward parenthood!  We met in September 2013 through an online dating service.  We quickly realized we were the right match for each other, and in August 2014, David proposed to Emily.  We have been married since October 17, 2015.

About You

We admire your decision and are thankful you are considering adoption.  Thank you for the honor of raising your child.  We promise to always be open and honest with our child about their adoption story; that includes making sure they understand they have first/birth parents who loved them fiercely.  We promise to love your child unconditionally for the rest of our lives.  We will encourage him/her to chase their dreams and pursue their interests.  We look forward to raising a well-rounded, well-adjusted, happy person who will feel confident and successful in their lives.  Thank you for your courage in placing your child for adoption.  We will forever be grateful to you.

About Us/Me

We are excited to start our journey toward parenthood!  We met in September 2013 through an online dating service.  We quickly realized we were the right match for each other, and in August 2014, David proposed to Emily.  We have been married since October 17, 2015.  We live in Columbus, Ohio, with our dog, Gus, in the home we own.  We were thrilled to meet our neighbors who adopted their son 3 years ago, and we hope he will be a great friend to our child.  We have known since the beginning of our relationship that when the time came for growing our family, we would choose adoption.  We are both kind, driven, giving people who love to make each other laugh.  Our 3 god children who live in WV love when David shows them how to play video games and Emily plays piano for their dance music.  We have a group of close friends around us who are excited to support us as we become new parents.  Our families are spread across the country which will allow us to share our love of travel with our child.  David grew up with a dad in the Navy, so he has traveled and lived all over the world.  Emily grew up in a small town in West Virginia but had parents who traveled extensively with her.  For our honeymoon, we went to London and Paris.  We love visiting art and history museums, trying new restaurants, and exploring new cities when we travel.  Emily's main hobby is playing the piano.  She has been playing for over 20 years.  She is looking forward to fostering a love of music in her children, whether that's piano, different instruments, or vocal.  She also enjoys reading, making improvements to their home, and spending lots of time with friends.  David enjoys cooking and baking.  He does most of the cooking in our home and he is famous among friends for his custom cheesecakes.  He looks forward to having the help of a little one in the kitchen.  He also enjoys playing video games and home improvement.  Together, we love watching movies, from drama (especially World War II movies) to action/sci-fi, we love a relaxing evening at home.  Our fall weekends usually include cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes football team, and we try to get to a game occasionally.  We enjoy taking our dog, Gus, to the dog park.  He is a 12 pound mutt who loves people and sleeps about 20 hours every day.  He's the most laid back pup, even when friends bring over their crying children.  David graduated from Franklin University and works in HR data analysis.  Emily graduated from The Ohio State University and works in project management.  We are thankful for the opportunity to meet you and love, nurture, and raise your child.
