Brian and I have had an exciting life together so far in our 15 years together. We have had many wonderful moments but some sad ones as well. That's what life's all about! By working together and leaning on each other, we get through the difficult times and laugh during the great times. Stephanie has one sister, a niece and nephew, and her mom who all live within driving distance. We see them about once a month and sometimes more if there are special events.
Each of us have our own story and through these stories, we are now connected (even if just through the Internet at the moment). Your personal story has led you to view our profile and we hope that we are able to express through our words, video, and photographs how much it means to us to have another child in our family: a sibling for our son Zachary and a little brother or sister to love as much as we love him. Zachary was adopted at birth from Ohio, and we have an open adoption with his birth mother. He will always know about her and how much she loves him. Your selflessness and willingness to put your child's needs above your own are amazing and we are in admiration of that.
Stephanie's father passed away in 2009, but had the opportunity to meet Brian, spend time with him, call him a son, and see the two of us get married. He was not able to meet Zachary who was adopted by Stephanie and Brian at his birth in 2014, but we know he would be amazed at this little boy who brings such joy to our lives. Brian's immediate family (older brother and his parents) and extended family all live within a short driving distance which allows us to get together frequently. Several of Brian's cousins were adopted at birth as well so everyone is supportive of us. His family loves to sing together while Brian's brother plays the guitar. Together, we love being outside hiking, bike riding, running, and playing with Zachary. You can find us at the gym during the week or cuddling on the couch watching a movie. Stephanie and Zachary bake cookies together which Brian gladly eats! Hopefully, Zachary will attend his first baseball game this year since we all love sports in our house. Zachary loves to read, play with trains, and throw balls. He enjoys petting our two mini-Schnauzers and likes when the FedEx truck drives by our house. Stephanie is an elementary teacher in the school district we live in who works with students from other countries. She teaches them English and helps them become familiar with school. She works with students from many areas such as Bangladesh, Africa, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, and China. She is currently an advisor for the culture club at school and loves how the students work together to learn about each other and promote this new knowledge with others. Brian is a security engineer with a financial company and has the opportunity to secure the company network from hackers. It's a demanding job but he likes the challenge. We believe in religion and have exposed Zachary to some children's services which he has loved. The children at the service have the chance to create crafts, eat, sing, and be themselves. It's a great atmosphere to be a part of. The holidays are always spent with our families which is important to us.We hope this small glimpse into our lives gives you an idea about the warm and loving life we have. With the love and support of our family and friends, we feel blessed and able to bring another child into our lives.
