About Us/Me

We are Becky & Taylor, a down to earth, fun-loving couple living in Cleveland, Ohio. We hope this write up helps you to get to know a little about who we are. We know this is a big leap for you, and we hope you’ll see how taking big leaps is in our DNA.

We met in 2010 at Muskingum University, a small liberal arts college in New Concord, OH (Go Muskies!). Becky was gearing up to head off to grad school in New York City and Taylor was just starting her college career. When we noticed how much we enjoyed being around each other (and Taylor asked enough) we took a big leap to stay together, despite the distance.

Flash forward, it’s 2015 and we are standing on the steps of the Cuyahoga County Courthouse protesting for marriage equality when the Supreme Court grants nationwide same-sex marriage equality in a 5-4 decision. Without missing a beat, we took another leap and organized our wedding for the very last day of the same year marriage equality was passed. Surrounded by our friends and family, we celebrated our love with the best party we will ever know.

Becky is an executive at a woman-founded, employee-owned, Managed IT services company in downtown Cleveland. In short, she knows things about computers and stuff. Taylor is a Pediatric Oncology Social Worker at Cleveland Clinic Children’s. She provides patients and families supportive counseling and connects them to financial and community resources to help them navigate their child’s cancer diagnosis.

About 1.5 years ago we took another leap and built a home in University Circle. While our neighborhood is technically shaped more like a rectangle, it's filled with museums, art & culture. Our favorite neighborhood activities include walking our dog to the lagoon while trying not to bump into bustling college freshmen on Case Western Reserve University’s campus and eating cannoli and meatballs in Little Italy. The walkability and diversity of our neighborhood keeps us engaged, even in a pandemic.

When we aren’t enjoying our neighborhood, we love to cook and prepare meals together. Pre-pandemic, we had a revolving door for hosting friends and family. Most often we are making homemade sauce, watching sports, hosting corn-hole tournaments, or challenging friends to chili cook-offs. No one leaves our house hungry and without belly laughing at least once.

We are proud of the home and the life we are building together, and we have plenty of room and love to give. While we can’t write about our biggest leap yet, the chance of being moms is the leap we can’t wait to take.

About You

It’s hard to convey our emotions on a piece of paper to someone we have never had the opportunity to meet, yet, is such a significant part of our life. We are struggling to find the right words to express how important you are in this big leap. Although we have no idea what it is like to be in your unique position, we can only imagine the emotions and pressures you may be feeling right now.

We want you to know that if you choose adoption and we are the family you select, we will be navigating this together. Our hope is we get to know you and build a trusting relationship with one another. Not all couples can conceive but with your help, we can build our family, and we really hope that includes you all along the way.

We also want you to know that if you don’t choose adoption or we aren’t the family you choose, we hope you feel supported and empowered in the decision you make and know we are sending you all the good vibes and girl power.

We picked Choice Network Adoption Agency because of the emphasis on choice and choosing. Taylor literally started crying when watching the “about choice network” animated video on Choice’s website because of a feeling of hope. With that, we hope that you never feel coerced and when you land on the option that works best for you, you feel hope too.
