About Us/Me

We were one of the few couples who met online, back when we did, in 2006.  We’ve been married for over ten years now, and during those years, we’ve seen a lot of life.  We been through medical scares and surgeries and losses of parents. We’ve experienced job promotions and losses.  We’ve experienced moving from a house, to an apartment, back to a house; and while we lived in the second house, we lived through a massive renovation that took five years.  We’ve experienced financial hardship and success. When we think of our life together, we think of the bonds that are formed through the scars and victories we’ve had together.  And we think of the big hole that’s still in our lives because we’ve also tried to become parents through all of that.

Maybe the time just has been wrong all these years for a baby to enter our lives.  Maybe our baby just hasn’t been born yet. Maybe we’ve needed just the right circumstances to exist for our baby’s mom to find our profile and choose us.

God knows we’re prepared.  Sarah has trained her whole life to become a mother.  David has learned so much from watching her work and is excited to one day become a father.  We’ve been given so many opportunities to grow with each other, that we know we’re ready to give that to a baby, too.

So let us tell you about the stuff we like to do.  Sarah loves knitting, crocheting, playing the banjo, and crafting.  She also loves decorating the house for any holiday. David plays the violin and mandolin, and he messes around with his 3D printer.  We both enjoy working out and watching sci-fi shows together.

We are both passionate about helping others, in our own unique ways.  David is a Data guy at a local apartment leasing company, and every chance he gets to hear about people’s challenges and explain new things to people, he wants to help.  He also has been a teacher of online courses and is hoping to pursue more teaching of in-person classes in the future. Sarah is passionate about seeing people become whole, and she has dedicated her career and personal life to this goal.  In fact, her career has been raising babies using the best theories on child-rearing. She started teaching in an infant and toddler classroom, and worked her way into full-time nanny positions with local families. Her dream is to one day raise  babies of her own and get to enjoy the full benefits of using her skills with her own children.

We believe God loves all people and wants his people to love each other as they would want to be loved.  We believe that God saved us through Jesus. We believe in fairness and equal rights for all people. We will make sure our children learn these principles, too.

About You

This is one of the toughest decisions you have ever had to make, and we know and respect this.  By choosing us, you’re giving away part of your heart. We will stand with you emotionally as you walk this path with us.

We want you to know that we will raise this child, knowing it’s a privilege to do so.  We will provide the most nurturing, loving, supportive environment that we possibly can for the child.  We will lead him or her to become the best version of themselves. We will promote a strong sense of self, self-worth and independence.  We will do our best to prepare him or her for success as an adult.

And we will do it with openness and love.  We will help the child grow into an understanding of what adoption means and that it was the best choice for you and for the child, with the respect, dignity, and love that you deserve.

We are grateful that you considered us to raise your baby, and we’ll do everything possible to honor your decision faithfully.
